Inlays / Onlays: Inlays for replacement of mercury fillings

The world has changed. Dentistry has evolved tremendously. In our Montreal office we routinely have patients requesting a more cosmetic and healthier mouth. As with many mercury fillings there are cracks present since the tooth is separated by this mercury filling. In many cases just simple replacement with an inlay is required or onlay to help strengthen the tooth. This guest required just that. We ended up removing the mercury filling, removing any cracked tooth structure and placing an empress all porcelain cosmetic inlay. The guest left with a more esthetic and a tooth that is restored to its natural strength.
