Preparation

Dr. Casey will first conduct a dental examination and discuss your unique needs and goals. To begin treatment, the dentist prepares the tooth by removing any decayed or damaged areas. He will remove the necessary tissue and reshape the tooth to create an optimal foundation for your new restoration.

Digital Scans

We utilize the most state-of-the-art technology in modern dentistry to quickly craft precise fitting crowns. The E4D imaging software will take scans of your teeth and create a digital map of your mouth that uploads straight to our computers. The dentist will then analyze the scans and design the dental crown to fit the specific measurements of your tooth.

Crafting Restoration

Once the crown has been designed, we will choose a shade for your new restoration that will match the rest of your smile. The image files will then be sent to our in-office milling machine, where your new crown will be crafted from a solid block of porcelain.

Final Attachment

You can wait comfortably in the office while the milling process takes place. There is no need to place a temporary crown on your tooth since your permanent restoration is complete in roughly an hour. We secure the restoration with a dental bonding agent and make any final alterations to the crown.
