If you are missing several teeth in various places throughout your mouth, a partial denture can help. Partial dentures also rest on top of the gums and are removable. However, they typically attach to adjacent teeth with dental clasps to provide additional stability.
Full traditional dentures, or complete dentures, will replace a full arch of missing teeth. Depending on the location of your tooth loss, patients may receive an upper denture, a lower denture, or both. Complete dentures are removable and secure to your gums with the aid of a dental adhesive.
Implant-supported dentures provide maximum stability and natural-looking results. This type of denture attaches to titanium posts that are surgically inserted into your jawbone. Most implant dentures are fixed and removed for cleaning during check-ups.
